Green Business Fund launched by The Carbon Trust for UK SMEs

£7m fund available to SMEs on a first come-first served basis covering energy saving training, cost saving assessments, implementation advice, and capital support for the installation of energy efficiency equipment.
Eligible companies can apply for a capital contribution to cover up to 15% of an energy efficiency project or equipment replacement cost, up to a maximum of £10,000.

The Carbon Trust are offering energy opportunity assessments to small and medium sized businesses (companies with fewer than 250 employees) to help them identify energy saving opportunities, and to develop a robust business case for the purchase of the appropriate equipment. Carbon Trust may provide this support remotely via telephone and email, or on-site.

These services are paid for by the Green Business Fund for a limited period.

 Equipment procurement support

We will help you to find equipment suppliers who can provide detailed quotes and who have been proven to deliver energy saving projects in the past.

Specific help available includes:

  1. A feasibility check
  2. Writing performance specifications appropriate for your business
  3. Tendering support, including supplier identification and assessment of tenders.

Implementation advice is available to companies with 1,000 employees or fewer.
